Steering Recall

just got a message from my dealer that I have to bring the car back for immediate inspection. he says it only affects certain chassis numbers (built Aug 16th) and it´s related to steering
Also Topix shows Q235 - Clamp load applied to steering rack fixing
I will ask about Idle instability too (TD4, Manual) - it is very similar to 3 cylinder VW engines - vibrations at idle

RE: Steering Recall

I would expect a few more isolated incidents such as this as more of the new trainee assembly workers are let loose on the live line.

Not a criticism of LR, the new staff, or the training given BTW!

Ordered 3-4-2012 - Build date 27-6-2012 - Delivery expected 9-7-2012 - Actual delivery 29-6-2012

RE: Steering Recall

brought it in for service yesterday - it took them 2 hrs instead of 10 minutes planned.
also some sw update to ECU done according to working sheet, alhough they said the idle vibrations are ok.
