Running I phone through 8" screen

So could you connect your phone to one of the camera leads and get something on the display ????

You would need your phone to be able to output a AV signal which mirrored the phone screen. If this is possable, it would only display the picture when in reverse

Lol.. Am sorted!! Wish someone would figure this one out.
You can bring up a video screen test in the secret menu. I wonder if would show the output of the phone ????

Where did you get the camera installation instructions as I am toying with installing a rear camera?

Got that info from the xcarlink installation manual I think ?!!

Think if you go into secret menu and select video, it may display the input from the phone ?!!

Do any of you know if the fitting for the reverse camera is on the back of the standard radio without sat nav, can't remember on the configuration if you can have the reverse camera without the sat nav option.

I guess even the standard radio is a monitor with inputs from the various products.

on the build website, it is currently allowing the addition of Rear Camera (must have front parking aids) without Tech pack (ie does not appear to need SatNav for Rear Camera)

I also notice that rear vents is on the list and appears to be able to be selected as a lone item !

So from that I would assume std screen irrespective of options picked

My plan is to buy a dension iva and plug it into one of the four video inputs on the back of the screen, then select video test from the secret menu while receiving an output from the phone.
Feel this might work and won't cost a fortune.
