Restricted power message

Just got my 2.2 td Evoque back from dealer after getting this restricted power message up a few times, they found the intercooler to throttle body hose split and also reckon the MAF sensor connection was a bit loose. Hopefully that sorts it but will update if it still comes up. I did wonder if there was a leak as it sounded a bit different on boost.

RE: Restricted power message

Strange that a hose could split without some outside damage

A little oil can degrade the rubber, most turbos will blow a little oil which will coat the inside. Add in the expansion & contraction from boost pressure, over time it will split.

RE: Restricted power message

I don't think its uncommon for this to happen as Sethor has said oil degrades the rubber, I think if it happens again I might try a silicone hose but then again I'll probably trade it in before then.

RE: Restricted power message

Seems strange to me if they use a rubber hose that can be deterated from oil
