Replacement Turbo?

Hi guys, my 2011 Evoque went into 'limp mode' a few weeks ago and the diagnosis is a bad turbo, which they say will cost upward of $5000....

This isnt the dealer, but rather an auto electrician in Syd.

Has anyone heard of a turbo failing before? The car only has 60,000kms, I've had cars with more than double those kms, and have never had a turbo problem........

Thanks,
Dekkar

RE: Replacement Turbo?

I had a turbo failure on my Si4 at about 80,00kms, failure was the bearing and compressor housings separating. But my car never went into limp mode, it was only picked up due to excessive oil loss when i parked. I would seek an another option maybe from dealer or LR specialist.

RE: Replacement Turbo?

Hi Dekkar, I know a land Rover specialist that might be able to help. I use him to service my car. It might be worth a call to him if you have not already got your car fixed. Let me know if you would like his details
