Range Rover Velar

Today the LR website has a picture of the rear and roof of the new RR Velar, a new model between Evoque and Sport, close in size to BMW 4 series and Porsche Macan, based on F Pace underpinnings with fore and aft engines not transverse so it can have the superb SDv6 diesel or the 3.0ltr Petrol or the Ingenium engines and has been predicted to be available with a PHEV. 4WD system will be similar to Evoque, interior size like RRS. No mention of air suspension or steel springs yet. Full launch announcement in London on March 1st and unveiling at Swiss Motor Show. http://www.landrover.co.uk/explore-land-...story.html
Now which forum will it be hosted on or will it go to RRSport2.com which is hardly used by anyone........

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

I just saw, not sure I'm keen on the google images, front and rear look good, but from the side not sure at all.

They all look the same now.

I bet there'll be no air suspension.

RRS2.co.uk doesn't work, hence the lack of use.

It's allegedly priced between the Sport and the FF so 80k odd. No thanks.

Same basic chassis as the F-Pace so neatly sized between Evoque and RRS and around £45-60k would seem to be the starting price for the various model specs

Too true, without close study I get the different models mixed up in some views both in dealership car parks and on the road!

It works for me, although it's more tumbleweed than activity.

It'll be between the Evoque and the Sport, not the Sport and the FF.

Funny, as there are no DNS records for rrs2.co.uk or http://www.rrs2.co.uk

Even NOMINET says:

RRS2.co.uk doesn't work because it isn't the URL, it's RRSport2.com

RE: Range Rover Velar

I'm find the Velar an interesting proposition.

The RR & RRS were/are too big for my wife, I tried hard to convince her. We had an RRS Autobiography 4.2 V8 as a loaner when our Evoque had to have warranty work carried out by our dealer, she refused to drive it.

Next step F-Pace, she didn't like the styling, ETTA.

I'm hoping this one hits the spot, although I'm determined to let LR and new buyers iron out new car/production issues before I contemplate buying one.

RE: Range Rover Velar

LR have revealed the Velar and we can build them on the website. Bearing in mind the F-Pace and Velar are very similar it is interesting to price up a each vehicle to a similar spec I personally would desire without going OTT.

F-Pace circa £68k
Velar circa £76k (seen well over £100k)

But a RRS same engine (V6 petrol) with HUD which isnt part of the other specs...... circa £72k

RRS anyday please
