RRE Spare wheel

or rather lack of one!
On the spec sheet the STEEL spare is a £100 optional extra. Standard issue is a "tyre repair system" which I assume is an aerosol of quick setting foam.
If the car is designed only to have the TRS then I wonder where you stow your steel spare if you opt for it? That's the reason I have gone for the TPMS option, if I get a puncture I want to know about it ASAP so I don't do much damage to the tyre so it can be "blown" back up easily with the foam kit

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: RRE Spare wheel

I haven't carried a spare in any of my vehicles for 21 years now. I've had the odd puncture via a nail. The trick is not to remove it as the foam will seal around it. Then I get a tyre shop to pull the nail and plug it.
