Piggy Back Fuse - can't get 12V?

Hi All

I am trying to wire in a hard wire 12v connection into the fuse panel behind the glovebox, but it seems that the output voltage is managed in some way to restrict this.

I get 12v at the fuse, but as soon as I connect anything to this, the voltage drops to around 4v

Any ideas on how to fix this or which fuse to use to avoid this issue?

Thanks

Which fuse are you going into?
And for what purpose?

I took a 12V permanent from the OBD socket fuse (bottom pin).

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

I tried piggy backing off 2 different fuse's
Cant remember the numbers of the sockets now (something like 54 or 52)
Both were accessory sockets

The power supply is for a remote colour controlled LED ambient lighting system

RE: Piggy Back Fuse - can't get 12V?

I am also having this issue. Has anyone solved it yet? Strange that I'm getting 12v from cigar lighter but at the fuse only getting 6v. Even taking out the fuse and measuring on the fuse board only getting the lower voltage.

How have other people managed to hard wire their dash cams /sat navs to evoque?
