Like The Valeter I went for a PCP
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

I guess this is a perception thing, bought cars outright before and felt savings etc take a hit, with loss of interest.
Seem to prefer now to putting a deposit down and pay as you drive.
If commercial organisations prefer this method there must be some merit in it.

Outright purchase....Have a commitment phobia to contracts, and just like to be done with it to move forward.

Neither. Took capital out of some property. Interest rate of 3.98% without fee or penalty beats any PCP or finance option I have seen around
