Nail in the tyre

So, my other half was trying to park, scraped the wheel along the kerb and managed to push a nail into the tyre. Spacesaver wheel is now on and I now need a new tyre.

Any advice on where to go?

RE: Nail in the tyre

Nail in the tyre does not have to mean new tyre... It might be repairable...

Dynamic TD4, Fuji White, Verve, automatic, privacy glass, style 4 19, rear cam, front-pdc, seat heating, adaptive xenons. (delivered 14.6.)

RE: Nail in the tyre

What price for a tyre you reckon then? That nail looks huge! Sad

Had a Pure TD4, Fuji White - now have Dynamic SD4, Fuji White 9 Speed auto with Verve Interior - let the new project begin!

Fortunatly I wasn't in the evoque, in a zafira.
Was just going round a roundabout then thud, god knows how it got in the tyre as it was about 6" long
Luckily had the spare wheel rather than the gunk as I think the gunk might of leaked lol

evoque now gone, but not forgotten, on to bigger and better things

RE: Nail in the tyre

I had a nail in my tyre after only 600 miles, Tyre fitter ( a friend of mine) advised a new tyre as it was quite close to the side wall. I advised him that he had better fix it as it was about 5-6 cm from the corner of the tyre. He fixed it and it has been no proplem since. Cost me a tenner instead of £200 for a new tyre.

td4 Pure manual in orkney grey, auto wipers/lights, front fogs, spare wheel. carmats4u mats, travall dog guard. Collected 30/03/12.
