My custom phone mount

Chaps,

For years I have used broadit clips in my cars to attach a RAM mount to hold my phone in the car.

broadit clips are here :- http://www.brodit.com
RAM mounts are here :- http://www.ram-mount.co.uk

When I got my Evoque I got the corresponding broadit clip, the phone is mounted a little lower than I would have liked but it fits well and all good UNTIL I tried to use the Sat Nav on my phone. Unfortunately due to the position and I'm guessing the heated front screen my phone struggles to get an accurate GPS signal.

Original Broadit clip in place in the car (without RAM mount fitted)

So I set about creating my own mount and 3D printing it, the end result is quite nice Smile

My custom mount plate with RAM ball mount fitted

My custom bracket slides in to place and is nice and snug so it won't move Smile

RE: My custom phone mount

Mmm. Looks neat. I ended up using a suction mount on the windscreen, but this is a better idea as long as it doesn't damage the interior trim.
