RE: Moving an auto without engine running

Ah but how do you do it if the battery is flat and you can't push start as there is no power ?

Cheers

Moving an auto without engine running

(31-07-2013 08:25pm)Rein Wrote:  Turn ignition on ( don't start engine).
Press and hold brake pedal
While holding brake pedal pull on the shift-up lever for about 15 secs
Gear selector will rise up
Put selector in N
Release parking brake
Push car
Remember brake assist doesn't work without engine running so be prepared to put some pressure on the brake pedal, or re apply parking brake

Hope this helps

I recently had to use this procedure and if I remember correctly, I read somewhere that the car will automatically go out of N after 10 minutes.

I was also unable to unlock the steering wheel... But that might just be me...
