I find in the daytime i'm turning the lights to side lights, as I prefer the dimmer drl's and rear lights on, rather than just bright drl's, it defeats having the nice auto setting though! Not had anyone flash me!

Another nail in the auto setting for me was when I was winding through some back streets, got in a tight spot with someone coming the other way, they looked like they were letting me go, just as I went the lights came on as I was in shade, causing him to think I was flashing and letting him go, ended up both head on blocked!

For clarity - I was on the inside lane, in the dark, doing 70 mph with cruise control on. Headlamps on.
No foglamps on. All normal from my side.
