It's a Land Rover, there's nothing to be ashamed of having a dirty one.

They've probably now washed off all your wax with truck wash!

It still feels like glass to touch but does need a proper clean, the first reasonably good I will give it my undivided attention. I got some Bilt Hamber polish and aqua wax, never tried it before, normally it's Dodo Juice or Meguires.

RE: I should be ashamed of myself.

When the Discovery first came to the USA, the car as considered a precious mommy car and whenever you saw one it was über pristine and full of kids on their way to play soccer. Everyone loved the car, but hated its social fate. We, however, took ours deep into the Arizona desert during spring rains. When we got back, driving through the posh coastal towns to get home, kids were honking at us, giving us the thumbs-up... because we looked like über crap.

When we dropped it off at the dealer for service (and their usual complimentary "detailing") they called my wife to tell her they were still trying to get all the dirt out of her car. It took several hours. (But they did take pictures to show the anal retentive set that the car had "chops"). Can't wait to find out what our Evoque has in her.

RE: I should be ashamed of myself.

Mine went for a wash yesterday... Should have taken a before and after photo. That's what I lie about this car, looks amazing when cleaned, but equally rough and tough when dirty..

Got mine : Dynamic Fuji White with Lux Pack and black contrast roof.
Optional extras : Privacy glass, Heated steering wheel and TPMS.

RE: I should be ashamed of myself.

Too busy driving it to wash it. I think it has naturally changed colour from Fuji to a silvery-brown mud colour.
I think JLR should produce this colour. Would save me a fortune on car washes!!!
