All terrain tyres

The reason I purchased an Evoque is because of its all round ability; it genuinely handles like a car on the road (especially in dynamic mode) and can also go well through the muddy stuff when I need to. I specified the 19" style 4 wheels so could get some more options for some good AT's to take me down the muddy tracks in the winter.

However, I'm really struggling to find some all terrain tyres to fit. The car is coming with 235/55/19 Pirelli verde's which state that they have no ability in mud!!!! I can find plenty of 255/50/19 and 255/55/19's but will these fit?

Any ideas anyone? Thanks.

RE: All terrain tyres

I asked LR before purchase. They looked at me as if I was from another planet, consulted someone, and came back with the answer that you can't fit AT's - it will upset the whole suspension and geometry of the car Rolling Eyes

Looking at the clearance on the car, there's very little additional width available - inside face of tyre v suspension parts, so i'm wary of fitting 255's.

Best option looks like dropping to a 17" rim, for which I believe there is a GG AT - as used by several on the Freelander2 site.

That just leaves the major issue of where to put the spare ...
