Hard downshifting for 3rd to 2nd

I have a 2012 Evoque and I am recently experiencing a problem with the transmission downshifting "hard" from 3rd to 2nd in automatic. Anyone else experienced this problem? Tanks

Yes i've had that once or twice over 5 + years, but i think the adaptive learning sorts it out, cause mine has always returned smooth.

How many miles has she done?

LR recommend oil change at 150,000 miles, but this is way too late, 75,000 is more realistic.
As the oil degrades the shifting takes longer, this upsets the timing of the gear changes.
imagine the sequence
gearbox needs to change
so engine eases off throttle
gearbox changes
engine applies load

Now if the gear change takes a fraction of a second too long, then the gear change completes while the engine is back on load - feels like a learner changing gears.

It has approx 73,000 on it. The dealer flushed the transmission but it didn't seem to do anything. I have an extended warranty on it and they are coming to look at it to see if they ned to change out the transmission. I was hoping that someone had run into this problem and there was a different solution.
