Halewood visit

Difficult to tell from tour as whilst you see all of the build elements, you don't actually follow a car through.

Didn't notice any 2WD - but wasn't looking for that so could have been...... And there were a LOT of cars being built!!!

O.k thanks blacktrees1, that would be good if you could please confirm with the factory about the 13 hours build,or lets say a day. cheers.

*Any concrete answer to this question? The 0 - completion must include, and allow for paint drying and everything. Thanks.

*Also.....is the build date given, the day it is finished and off assembly,or the start of the build? Thanks again.

RE: Halewood visit

When I visited, the guide pointed at some pressings and said: "these pressings will be used to make a body shell this afternoon, it will be painted overnight and the car will be complete by lunchtime tomorrow". With 500+ cars a day being produced, they can't have them hanging around.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

RE: Halewood visit

So if we say (1) day to complete a car from nothing, that seems to be where it's at. Thankyou.

RE: Halewood visit

If you know your build date, could you (theoretically) book a factory visit and see your car on the production line?? that would be cool, and a great keep-sake photo if you can get a part-built photo of your actual car Smile

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).
