You are right, 3 cm lower should mean 3 cm less suspension travel. Otherwise there are manufactors like BMW Alpina, they have the experience to build suspensions with perfect roadholding and a good damping.
H & R talks about progressive suspension, so it should be smooth by normal ride and harder if you let your car fly.

I think that HDC and other electronic helpers won´t be a problem, normally they get their signal from the ABS Sensors.

My wife´s car is a Mini and i love it, but for my Evoque it´s not ok to ride like an Exige or an Morgan Plus 8. I´ve owned Maserati´s with electric suspension some years ago, but it was not as good as well made classic suspensions.

I wrote a mail to Startech / Brabus too, but no answer in the moment.

RE: H&R springs ride quality.

yea doing some wheel/tire calculations for the wheel/tire combo i want and yield a .5 inch shorter overall diameter which means more wheel gap. So a small drop is needed.

Hi,

today i got a call from H&R. The guy told me they tried to lower the car and save some more comfort, so the suspension will be harder, nevertheless better on bad roads. He agreed that the standard suspension is not harmoniously.

I´m not shure, if i will try it. The costs are not so high, but i don´t need to get lower 3cm, i wanted to sit a little bit above the traffic.

Have to say with that design of wheel and the 30mm lowering it looks very nice, i think however it is very dependent on wheel design.

The colour-coding in that picture makes the wheel-gap look much smaller too.
