Evoque facelift – summer 2015?

Hi,

New to forum, so firstly hello.

We are looking to order an Evoque in the next month or so for summer delivery. The current model we are looking at is an Evoque Coupe Dynamic - Auto SD4.

Some of the trade press such as Autocar mention a facelift for the Evoque in the summer, no specific details or dates at the moment.

http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-ca...5-and-2016

When there have been previous updates, how do orders get processed if there are model updates between order and delivery?

TIA

If your car is built before there are updates then you get what is current, if the updates are after you have ordered and before build then you get the updated car. If options you ordered are deleted with the update or the colours change and your ordered colour is discontinued then the dealer should tell you at ordering time that with the lead in time you won't be able to get what you want and you can change the order.
We have no idea what the 2015.5MY or 2016 (Facelift) will entail BUT you should be aware that the engines will be changing in the next 12 months to the new Ingenium engines with smaller capacity but higher outputs and less emissions than the present ancient but OK Ford / PSA diesels used by LR

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Thanks for the confirmation. We are pretty happy with the model and spec of the Evoque we are looking to order, the timing of our order is more based on selling our current car which is a roadster, which will be more saleable in the summer.

How far in advance to the dealers typically get the heads up on the new model updates?

Some dealers never seem to get to know until members of this forum tell them! We often read things on the LRNews website and in the motoring press that dealers don't see. MY changes usually get announced in October for the half year chnages that come on line in January and May/ june for the big September/ October main changes. Sometime things are mentioned here unofficially that turn out to be official too!
Also since LRCS and some of the develeopement teams have started to get involved with the two Evoque forums some of our suggestions have been taken up for later developement - wing mirror design, some software design and so on were changed after compalints from owners on the forums.

Not sure if I'm a big fan of the lowered nose job.
Wondering if approach angles are now less as result of it. By the looks my guess could only be "yes".

RE: Evoque facelift – summer 2015?

A facelift does not always improve the look of a car, look at the latest Lexus, horrible design.
I must say, it will be rather hard to change the look of the Evoque for the better, and that's why several car makes do their best to copy.

U.K. is not a leader in design, but in the case of the Evoque they scored a top place.
