EPB Maintenance Mode

Made a quick phone video of how to get the brakes into Service mode...

Thanks for posting the video, a picture paints one thousand words! I will have a go at my rear pads in the New Year.
I take it to reset to normal is the same operation in reverse.

Yes same procedure to remove the Service Mode except pull the EPB lever during the process.

I was able to get the brakes to retract and remove the old brakes. But the caliper wouldn't retract far enough to install the new pads. Even with the caliper tool, the piston wouldn't budge.

What am I doing wrong?

If it's in service mode, then you should be able to push back the piston, (try removing the Brake fluid reservoir cap) but they should just push back, although they can be quite tough. I ended up using the old pad to protect the caliper piston face from the tool, I do remember 1 rear being very tough to push back.
