RE: Evoque Convertible All Terrain Testing

I hope that Land Rover has figured out how to make the roof open and close a bit more quickly than the Coupe's front seats can move forward and back.................

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Evoque Convertible All Terrain Testing

At least it will get rid of the squeaking noise on the anterior roof console on the rest of the evoques! Or will it.
I am imagining the wind noise will be immense.

Got mine : Dynamic Fuji White with Lux Pack and black contrast roof.
Optional extras : Privacy glass, Heated steering wheel and TPMS.
Me: Very HappyVery Happy

Maybe it will be built alongside the Evoque & Discovery at the new factory in Itatiaia, Brazil - quality can't be any worse Laughing

Won't be long till we see it in the flesh at next months LA motorshow, on the road spring 2016.

RE: Evoque Convertible All Terrain Testing

Is it me or does it look a bit like an Audi saloon convertible but on little stilts? I think the Evoque relies on its roofline for 80% of its USP.
Walt

On order for Nov: SE Tech Coupe, 180bhp, 9 speed auto, pano roof, privacy glass, spare wheel, Auto High Beam, Rear camera, 5 year service pack, Active Driveline, Aintree Green, Almond/Espresso.

No Walter, the Audi is a more complete design as a soft top, the Evoque looks more like a Mark 2 Ford Escort convertible AKA a pram.

This is what a convertible should look like:-

No, that's a sports car with a soft top, not a convertible. Convertibles are saloon or possibly Coupe based but not sports cars.

OK, I'll give you that one but the Evoque in 'convertible' form still looks rubbish, why spoil the Evoques original styling just to produce a me too fashion item or Barbie car.

Can't argue with that but JLR must think they're going to sell. Still, we'll see. I wouldn't want one TBH
All the best
