Cooling fans

Hi

I'm having some trouble with my wife's Evoque 2012 2.2 SD4 (auto). It over heated a few days ago and cut most of the power, she let it cool down and drove it home.I have had a look and as far as I can tell the fan control module has died. I have replaced the whole cooling fan cradle (both fans and module) with a genuine new one, but I'm not sure if it's working. I have done some checks and on the pc I get a live coolent temperature reading off 107c and the dash temperature needle is exactly half way. At what temperature should the fans cut in as I have had it up to 110c needle still half way but no fans (the engine had been running for over an hour. The engine did not seem excessively hot. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance for your help.

RE: Cooling fans

FIXED.....

It turns out the wire from the engine ecu to the fan module had rubbed on the back of the fans and broke (no continuity). I cut out a few inches and replaced it. All working perfect !!!! Very Happy
