Compatible SIM Card for InControl Touch Pro

Hi all,

Ex Evoque owner just popping in with some information that might help.

I now have an F-Pace which features the InControl Touch Pro system. To enhance the system you can install your own SIM card which gives you real time traffic updates, satellite imagery overlays (like Google maps). Plus you can then send preprogrammed journeys from your phone to the car. You can also set-up a wifi hotspot for people in the car to use.

I have been using the following '3' SIM card and it works perfectly.

http://amzn.to/29xKXHe

It will give you 12 months work of access for around £30 (currently £25), it doesn't use a lot of data for the real time data side of things, unless you start using the sat images.

I know the InControl Touch Pro isn't out yet, but it's coming in cars being ordered now I believe?

Hope this helps someone

Thanks for the info jbob. Two questions,
A) Which F-Pace do you have and how do you find it?
B) Would you might if I posted your SIM info over on the RRSport.co.uk forum?

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

A) I have a First Edition, so that's the 3.0 V6 diesel. I find it excellent, everything I wanted it to be. A good combination of power and refinement. I found the Evoque just a little bit too small, so in terms of size it's perfect. The RRS was on my list, but that was a bit big for daily use around town. The RRS is a step up in terms of interior quality though, some of the F-Pace plastics are a little poor.

B) Not at all, go for it. I hope it helps someone.

I've posted it and one member has already bought one as the SIM's also give roaming within Europe except for Germany for some reason and he's very happy as he's about to set off on a month's trip across Europe in his RRS which has the previous InControl Apps system.

Oh well there's no going back now............... Some of us have lost more than just cheap phone calls and data as a result of the referendum - my German Government pension has just evaporated completely................ Loosing£56k pa pension when I retire is a hard pension hit to take.

Tim,

Explain, why has your German government pension gone?

Somewhere in the North Sea.

Because they have told me that when the UK leaves the EU it cannot be paid. I'll send you a PM SP

Can you find any EU relations and get an EU country passport? There are a lot of applications in for Irish citizenship apparently.

If you are in a position to, almost worth getting married to an EU citizen for £50k a year Embarrassed
