BAS Tuned Evoque in LRO mag.

Sorry I dont yet have a perfect PDF version so quality is not the best as i have made this from a scan but it should be readable.

It gives you an idea of what our aims are for the Evoque tuning. The information regarding the amount of power given in each gear is vague because I didnt want the magasine to give to much away to landrover or other tuning companys. First gear does have a little added and as you can see second gear does, but its only a small amount because we feel protection of the drivetrain is important and drivability more so.

Pete - good stuff.

For those about to read the above, the downloads are a bit chunky (10 / 8 / 8 mb) - part 1 is just the front of the magazine, the guts of the info are in parts 2 & 3

Pure 3dr SD4 Tech Man ; Firenze Red ; 19" Style 3 ; Pano ; Ebony / Ivory Int ; Auto dim rear view ; 2 seats ; Park Aid - Rear cam ; Ext. folding mirrors ; Adap Xenon ; Fogs ; Mud Flaps ; Side Steps - Rec'd 28/12/11 - Sadly going 6/6/14 - Gone, now running BMW X6

Those mid range figures are pretty impressive and just right to help remove the "running out of steam" feeling when overtaking.
Cheers Pete.

Good point griff, I didn think about the size I have now edited my first post to inform what part does what for the mobile type readers. as you say chunky downloadsmay not be good for mobile users Sad

Pete
Yes its a hard ballance to get to be honest, it seems with the Evoque I have had to work a lot harder to maintain the very smooth RRE drivability while giving a warranted overall gain and at the same time thinking seriousley about component stresses as not to take it to far that damage will happen over time.

I feel I have achieved a nice medium overall gain in smoothly delivered power without detracting at all from how the car was designed to deliver its power to the driver. I found the more that I gave it the more detraction from its quality drivability showed it self which didnt make it nice at all.

Pete, to a simpleton, can you explain the difference between your power upgrade/components compared to AMD.

Does it come with some box that is plugged in, or is it like a software update that can be lost if say battery has to be disconnected? I don't know what AMD does either it is just that they are well known.

Evoque No3: MY15 Dynamic Lux SD4, Auto, Santorini Black, Pimento Dynamic Plus Sports Seats, Ebony headlining, Pan Roof, Shadow Chrome Alloys.

Hi, no sorry I dont know exactly what changes they have made so would not be fare to comment on there offering. I can say that the process of how its done is the same but there is more than one way to skin a cat regarding the content changed inside and how power is made and delivered !

Some tuners go for max power, some go for economy, some this or that im really not sure what they have done.

I personally have gone for a medium mechaniclly and DPF safe gain that maintains the RRE's quality driving characteristic while providing a nice overall usable gainin power. Not the most that is possibile from the engine but in my opinion and from the work done its eniough while keeping things realistic.

Its a software upgrade inside the ecu which is not lost from disconnecting the battery. The AMD brand is as you say well known for VAG type tuning mainly.

Just spoke to Aviva regarding the remap as it is deemed a modification and I would not wish to compromise my cover. Additional premium £35.90 not bad.

Be interested to know whether Pete's remap helps reduce the standing turbo lag people report.
