Automatic headlamps and high beam assist

Have you checked your settings? Is it set to the correct side for driving?

I love the high beam assist. I'd definitely add it to my next order, if it didn't come as standard.

RE: Automatic headlamps and high beam assist

im currently in a Disco Sport HSE Lux loaner with HBA.... its a nifty little gimmick but last night it was on/off quicker and more often than you could shake a stick at.
HBA also kicked in when I was about 300m behind a police car, so the refection off their boot high vis stripes was seriously bright. I had to quickly work out how to turn it off with the stalk (pull it towards you as if flashing)

Its not something I would spec on my own car and pay extra for.

TBH im getting a bit sick of all these gimmicky little toys they are chucking on cars these days (auto park (also on my loan car), HBA, LDW, auto cruise control/braking etc etc etc)

to me they all detract from the skill of actually driving and people are becoming in danger of relying on them too heavily so are stuffed if they go wrong or a car doesn't have them.

Surely Spanish cars are left-hand drive?

The settings go on which side of the road you are driving on, so yes carcamusa should have it set for the right-hand side as that is the side of the road he is driving on. The seating position of the driver makes no difference.Very Happy
