RE: An end to the TD4 exhaust saga

The worst part about it is I have the SD4 freelander at the moment and it is a good engine but made a mistake going for it should have stuck to the original plan. IMHO I think it has to be the auto with the SD4 to get the best from it at over 2 seconds quicker than the TD4 but almost 4k more. If I hadn't blew the deposit on the freelander last year then that would be first pick. That's life.

New theory…. every photo (TD4, SD4 etc. ) that I've seen with the single tailpipe also happens to be a 5-door…. could it be that the reason us coupé buyers are paying an extra 1,000 is not only for the bonnet vents but indeed also for that second tailpipe! Becoming more of a bargain by the day Wink

Current: SD4 Dynamic Auto, 5 Door, Orkney Grey with Black Contrast Pano roof and 20" Shadow Chrome wheels. Pursuit interior. [countdown="Hand over"]15th June 2013 2:00pm[/countdown]

Gone: Si4 Prestige Auto Coupe, Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof, Element interior, Shadow Chrome 20" wheels with most of the bits & pieces loaded. [countdown="Hand over"]29th November 2011 2:00pm[/countdown]

It would be very funny if this was true... The amount of the exhaust gases to be a function of the number of doors:

Nt= 4 / (Nd-1)

Nt - number of tail pipes
Nd - number of doors

How about in the Dynamic?
I can't imagine it having one exhaust pipe...(maybe will have one in the middle) Smile
