RE: 6 Month Review

Quote from Top Gear magazine:

Volvo XC60: "Small SUV stuffed with health and safety kit. In fact, it should probably come in flouro yellow with a loud hailer and whiney voice as standard".

I AM STILL AWAITING MY EVOQUE.

On order:
SD4 Auto, Prestige 5 door, Firenze Red, Black Leather, Pano, Privacy, Elec Tailgate......Patience is a Virtue!

Of course all opinions are welcome here (as long as the Evoque is acknowledged as the finest SUV that has come to market ... in the history of mankind of course!)

Will put in my order for XC60 as I could not believe pricewise it's actually cheaper, or at least on a par with the Evoque.
Blackseries's post on Evoque to the rescue settles the point for me anyway... Evoque wins hands down. I also test drove X3 and XC60, both cheaper and more readily available (no surprise there). And I chose to wait and have an Evoque!

Arrived 16 December 2011: Prestige SD4 auto 5dr in OG with Adaptive Dynamics, Adaptive Xenons, Surround Cameras, Auto Dimming Rearview, Grey Oak Wood, Spare Wheel and Powered Tailgate.

Joining 2010 Freelander XS Td4e in Stornoway Grey (we like Grey!)

RE: 6 Month Review

Have you seen how much it costs to add what are standard equipment on an RRE to an XC60 as extras? On their build configuration an XC 60 to as close to the same spec as my car made the XC60 nearly £6000 more expensive than the Dynamic Lux Plus and then I still couldn't get some of the kit that came on the Evoque on an XC60........................ I wouldn't say the XC60 was cheap - we baulk at a £50k RRE but a £55000 XC60...............? And the optional Satnav on a Volvo is a joke............. even though you can get an opening panoramic sunroof for £1200 extra

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Now in possesion of my SD4 Auto Dynamic., Santorini, Privacy Glass Shadow, Chrome Shadow style 7's Mixed emotions
