RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

The new lights actually have less wires but your point is a valid one and something I hadn't realised.

Do the drls all flash orange on all uk cars with hid xenons or is this just with leds?

On pre facelift do the drls just dull when the indicator is on, and now your saying the whole drl is the indicator?

Just popping outside to check what my car does currently!

RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

Just checked my current lights indicators vs my new 2016 ones and the indicator bulbs look to be in the same place.

My current headlights have a traditional bulb in the corner of the light. My new unit also had the same bulb in the same position and has an orange tint around it so presumably this is a normal indicator bulb also.

Can anyone with a uk spec facelift with HID xenons confirm if the indicators are normal bulbs or are incorporated within the dlr strip?

I believe the DRL just dims down when you indicate to allow other road users to see the indicator.

Nice going Nick!

Can you tell me what type of bulb is used as turn signal for the rear lights? Or is it a led fixed in the housing like the side/brake lights?

Thanks Dan.

If anyone need Oem parts can't recommend Dan at Duckworth enough. Excellent comms, quick delivery, and best prices for Oem parts.

Hi, not sure. I will have a look. I'm guessing it would be the same as whatever the pre facelift is as when I plugged one in I had no errors. If there were any LEDs in the new lights that were previously normal bulbs I'm sure it would of thrown a code.

looks like ordinary headlights(silvered internal lines inside LED), BP should be with blacked internal lines - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgmsD9JZ...e=youtu.be

RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

Thanks for the vid. Is the only difference literally the inner bar being a different colour or are the lenses darker as per previous black editions?

Decided to put my facelift black pack rear lights on today. Think they tie in nicely. Took 10 mins and voila ...( look orange in pics but strip solid red)

Also loaded up the boot with all my new bits. A bonnet won't fit but a bumper will!

Off to get my bumper wrapped first thing tomorrow, then dropping the car off at the garage in the afternoon. Fingers crossed they can sort the wiring quickly!
