iphone6 google maps compatibility

Hi

I have had my new Evoque (no satnav option) just a few weeks & have just changed my phone to an iPhone 6.
When I pair the phone to the car via Bluetooth, I find that when using Apple or Google maps that the voice commands from the phone speakers are disabled even though visually the app works fine. I have obviously checked on the phone options that mute has not been selected & that the volume has been turned up. The app works fine when in any other car.

Has anyone else found this or can offer any advice

Thanks in advance

The User interface for this stuff is horrendous to say the least.

What's happening is that your audio source is not your newly paired phone, it's somethign else.

You'll have to somehow find this menu and select your new phone.

I haven't tried with Apple/Google Maps, but when my iPhone 6 is Bluetooth paired and using Waze (a 3rd party GPS app) the voice commands go through the car speakers.

Pull up the Control Center and check if it has speakers or evoque's audio system selected.

I have that with my Samsung s4, if you disable the blue tooth the sound will then come out of the phone for map directions

Hi All. Finally sorted, I needed to change the source from radio to iPhone. I guess it's obvious really, but hopefully any other non techies with similar issues will be helped by this thread
